Best Price: Yakuza 3

Until Sega pull their heads out of their asses and port Shenmue (onto a PS3 virtual console?) this is as close as you’re going to get.

Read my Preview here and follow the jump for the best prices

The only way Yakuza 4 will come to Europe is if enough people buy Yakuza 3 (or import 4, but you see know what I mean, and don’t be so fucking pedantic, assturd)

One thing of note, every copy of the EU version is the “Premium Edition” so don’t let retailers trick you into paying more money for a “better” version.

It includes:

Battle Pack unlockable content**

31 track CD soundtrack

“Yakuza Who’s Who” – learn how all the characters are connected and who turned from rivals to allies in this fully animated guide

Battle Pack content:

Battle For Survival – Take on all the bosses of Yakuza 3 as Kazuma

All-Star Tournament* (7 character tournament)

All-Star Tag Tournament* (8 team tournament)

Haruka’s Request* – This unique series of challenge missions will send you on a task of exploration throughout the entire Yakuza world, playing minigames and entertaining Haruka.

So without further ado,

The big boys, Game (and by extension Gamestation) and HMV and so on show typical fuckery pokery by pricing it at the £39.99 mark. Preying on naivety and lack of customer knowledge to price a year old (in Japan) game like a new one.

Amazon used to be crap but have really pulled their socks up recently and so their price of £34.73 is totally sweet.

For a little bit less try Shopto at £32.85. The price is spot on though Shopto’s delivery can be sketchy.

I am totally getting this. Either this game price will plummet to about £20 or it’ll hover around £30, probably nowhere in between. There wont be many copies in the UK so it’s down to how many people buy it.
